The book has seven chapters, starting with the introduction and followed by chapter two (literature review). Chapter two has detailed information about simulation optimization (DES optimizing productivity as a design to mine) and the changing duty cycles in haulage equipment. Chapter three focus on framework of the panel width optimization with the help of DES as a case study. This is mainly by theoretical approach. In chapter four, incorporation of the changing equipment duty cycle is presented. Illustrations are also explained to determine optimal allocation of the shuttle-car to continuous ...
Illustrations are also explained to determine optimal allocation of the shuttle-car to continuous minors like case of DRC where Gold mining has never ceased. Mathematical modeling of Room and Pilar as BILP formed solution is presented in chapter five. This is followed by chapter six to explore whether using heuristic approaches in pre-process of room and pillar sequencing due to BILP problem. Conclusions and recommendations are lastly presented in chapter seven of this book.
