PVA is a crystalline polymer, highly soluble in water, its dissolution requires the breaking of the crystal structure and need to be carried out at elevated temperature . One of the crucial features of the PVA consists in an existence of the promising acoustooptical effects determined by interaction of electron and phonon subsystems.
