In the present work a chemical looping combustion system for solid fuels was developed. In contrast to other groups a special two-stage fuel reactor was used. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Gruppen wurde hier ein spezieller zweistufiger Brennstoffreaktor eingesetzt. Zwei verschiedene Sauerstoffträger: Ilmenit ein natürliches Erz und ein synthetischer kupferbasierter Sauerstoffträger wurden untersucht. Die experimentellen Untersuchungen wurden an einem Kaltmodell sowie an einer elektrisch beheizbaren Anlage durchgeführt. Desweitern wurde der Abrieb der Partikeln im Wirbelschichtsystem untersucht und simuliert. Basierend auf der Fließschemasimulation wurde eine Scale-up Rechnung für den durch Abrieb verursachten Materialverlust einer 100 MWth Anlage durchgeführt.
