However, despite the challenges in adapting to the new way of life, Taiwan offered enough enthusiasm and cherished memories. At first, they were not quite welcome because inequality had formed the foundation for structural racism. However, with time, acceptance and adjustments improved their living. Along the way many people - including Americans, Chinese, and people of other nationalities - provided for an enriching life, lifelong friendships, and positive perspective for mankind.
