This means getting the assistance of a banker named Cassnar - a man with a shadowy past and his widowed sister, who leave's Lank smitten, only to vanish. All the while, Lank, a drifter more or less, finds himself being yanked into modern society. The old west is dying, but outlawing - well its changing with the times and getting down right political. It seems everyone has gold on the mind and secrets to hide.
