All want to pursue their education after the Olympics, and though they're rugged kids, tough down to the nail, they're not that way because they've been on their own. They've each had guidance from parents, a priest, a trainer, and each other. The five represent several neighborhoods in a grand city rich in heritage. They're put into situations that make them men by the end of their training, and are all willing to work hard through the pain to reach their goals. (About the Author) Mike Maloni has worked with Strategic Book Publishing since his first novel Defenseman: A Hockey Player's Story in 2009. His subsequent novels include Shortstop: Where Grace and Power Collide and Penn State Blue. Maloni took a hiatus from publishing as he battled mental illness. He has had some memory issues, but this comeback novel, Olympic Gold, is now available. The author is a professional photographer and a business consultant in Massachusetts. His grandfather was a Golden Gloves boxing champion.
