The original work shows many forms of trigonometric curves generated by programs, using multiple arcs, exponentiations and radicals, so that one can follow the wide variety of curves generated in this way. New curves and families of curves are also given starting from parametric equations which use different combinations of trigonometric functions. Space curves and their families are also presented, also with parametric equations containing trigonometric functions. The paper can be considered as a catalogue of many plane and space curves.

Autor

Professor Emeritus PhD Engineer Iulian Popescu, a member of the Academy of Technical Sciences in Romania, studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. He taught the Mechanisms and Machine Theory course at the University of Craiova for 40 years and directed 26 PhD students in Mechanisms.
