The African violet is a much-loved ornamental species, but its fertilization has only been based on the experience of growers. This is why fertilizer recommendations are controversial, with N-P-K formulations from other crops being recommended. There is also no information on fertilizing with micronutrients. The aim of this work was to develop a mineral formulation of macro and micronutrients that meets the nutritional demands of the African violet.

Autor

Agronomist graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), where he also studied for a Master's degree in Soils and Plant Nutrition. He worked for two years giving lectures and training rural producers in 16 Latin American countries. He worked for four years as a university lecturer at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS).
