John McLean, a British-born Japanese-English translator and interpreter, is known as one of Japan's premier interpreters. In addition to his roles as a production editor, emcee, film festival talk-show host, and university associate professor in Hiroshima, his interpretation skills stand out. His diverse clientele includes top athletes like Simone Biles, Kohei Uchimura, and Ai Fukuhara, Japanese actors/models such as Nana Komatsu and Kentaro Sakaguchi, as well as dignitaries like Kazumi Matsui. He has also collaborated with major media outlets like NBC, CBC, and Al Jazeera.
