Autor

Christine Eyres, a writer and artist living in Fremantle, Western Australia, was born in Scotland, and raised in the southwest WA town of Albany.She qualified as a teacher and completed a B.A. of Fine Art and a Graduate Diploma of English at Curtin University. After raising a family on an alpaca farm, Christine spent time in Queensland where she completed a Graduate Diploma of Research Methods at James Cook University while living on a boat and working in her studio in Cairns.Besides exhibiting art, Christine conducted workshops and curated exhibitions for community art groups in Far-North Queensland as well as being an active member of Tropical Writers in Cairns.Christine worked as a volunteer with V.I.S.E. (Volunteers for Isolated Children's' Education), an experience that has informed the background of No Use Crying Now.No Use Crying Now is her second novel. Her first, The White Apron, an historical fiction of a working-class family's struggle in Scotland during the Industrial Revolution was released in 2018.A member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers, Western Australia and the Australian Society of Authors, Christine regularly contributes articles to magazines, including most recently, a series that featured in Southerly.
