As his life began to unravel with the onset of Alzheimer's in the 1980s, a chance phone call sent my sister and me on a decade-long search through history, uncovering the secrets that our father had kept hidden. What we discovered would forever change our understanding of the man who raised us and the extraordinary events that shaped our family's legacy. As we unveiled more and more about his double life, we came to the realisation that this story - his life - had to be documented for it was all worth it.
