Saki Tanaka was born in Japan and grew up moving around the globe, becoming "the new kid" every few years. Now based in Colorado, the Mexican-Japanese artist aspires to tell stories that make outsiders feel good about being themselves, and unlock worlds for dreamers who want to belong. She is the creator of Between Words, and finds inspiration in the beauty of breaking out of the mold.
