The middle-class neighbors, especially Ms. Katrina, encourage the rest of them to turn their noses up at the least fortunate neighbors; however, during all the discomfort, Ms. Perkins keeps being humble and waves and speaks to the other neighbors, even though the other neighbors may not speak or wave back. Soon, about a month after tragedy occurs, Mr. Perkins' friend passes away and the neighbors go over to visit and be nosey. They soon find out that there is a beautiful sight to see when they walk into the house. Joeann Sheard was born November 20, 1965 in Elloree, SC, a small town in Orangeburg County. She attended Elloree Elementary school and graduated from Elloree High school in 1985. Her parents are the late Mr. Joseph Sheard and the late Mrs. Bell Glover Sheard. Joeann has two brothers, Leroy Sheard and James Sheard, and a sister, Laurie Sheard. Joeann has two children, her daughter, LeeAnn Brooks, her son-in-law, Randy Brooks who is a retired veteran, and a son, Christopher Sheard. Joeann also has a few adorable grandchildren. Joeann's hobbies are reading, writing, decorating, and watching lifetime movies. She is also a pet owner to her little dog named Dennis. He's a shih Tzu. Her occupation is a private security officer where she enjoys meeting new people every day.
