This third edition summarizes the essentials of neuropathology in outline form. The objectives are twofold: 1) to provide an overview of neuropathology for those initially encountering the discipline and, 2) to provide a framework for review for those preparing for in-service and board examinations in the disciplines of neurology, neurosurgery, and pathology, which require some knowledge of neuropathology. The first part presents basic information on the spectrum of neurologic-related disease (Chapters 1-11). A set of self-assessment questions, some of which include key images for review, are included at the end of each chapter. These are designed to aid with comprehension and understanding of the material.
