This book presents the general information regarding the regeneration potential of Sal (Shorea robusta) forest managed under different management practices in Terari region of Nepal. Sal is ecologically and commercially valuable species in Nepal, however, the dense forest canopy coupling with existing anthropogenic disturbance are the major impediments to its natural regeneration. This study highlights the status of natural regeneration of Sal forest managed under three different management scenario in natural stand and tree diversity. Furthermore, it provides the insight to die-back of Sal seedling under different management. Lastly, the study sums up with some brief recommendation and way forward for future management of Sal forest in Terari region of Nepal.
