NAT2 is polymorphic. It gives rise to acetylator status that may influence pharmacotherapy and carcinogenesis. The polymorphisms was studied in Malaysia before using methods that were not specific. We reinvestigated NAT2 polymorphisms in Malaysia using more specific methods. Correlation between NAT2 genotypes and isoniazid metabolic ratio was of moderate significance.
