This journal is equipped with her process of self-discovery along with self-assessments, challenges, and space provided for self-expression. Petra V. Ovia tested the effectiveness of My Self-Discovery Journal after administering a 3-week course with 29 female students at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous) located in Kerala, India. This course measured their level of self-esteem and self-awareness using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (1985) along with the Self-Discovery Questionnaire before and after the course. Results indicated that the journal increased the students level of self-esteem and self-awareness. "
