Mika Koontz is an American and Japanese writer and professional home organizer. She grew up between California, Hawaii, and Japan. As an adult, she has lived the life of a local, nomad, and expat in various countries around the world- in the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia.She's had a love of the ocean since she was a child, and has traveled around the world backpacking and surfing. Therefore, it only seems right that her first published book is a cute and magical children's picture book on water safety. One of the most important lessons in any water safety situation is to not panic, and 'My Friend, Water' instills that lesson in the way of a heartwarming and enchanting fable.
