The inspiration for this book came one day when the author, Shauni Derington, was eating lunch with her friends at work. About the Author Shauni Derington is a graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. Growing up she was always surrounded by animals and became a huge animal lover at a very young age, especially towards cats. Today, Shauni Derington is an elementary school music teacher. She enjoys creating lessons for her students that combine all of her passions: music, reading, and of course animals. Shauni Derington lives in Georgia with her two fur babies Sky and Boo.
