Dr. Groves explores this notion through an examination of a recently divorced man who, after being married for over sixteen years, finds himself single, back on the dating scene, and forced to confront his own history of failed relationships. Through reflection, he discovers fundamental issues about how people, in general, deal with relationship, and how dating and relationships have changed from how he had conceived of them decades before. He began exploring deep-rooted questions about human behavior. Namely, what makes one person say "yes" and another, "no"? Why do we choose the people we do? How do we come to conclusions about who is on our team, and who is not? Why do so many relationships fail? And especially, why did his relationship fail? Dr. Groves draws on his personal experiences to bring light to common human experiences and decisions, interweaving stories of plans, pains, struggles, and changes to bring the reader to a deeper understanding of dating, relationships, and the role we each play. About the Author Dr. John F. Groves Sr. is a relationship expert who is eager to share his vast knowledge, credentials, and experience in this field. He believes it's critical to learn from our mistakes and share and teach what we've learned to others. After more than two decades of service, Dr. Groves retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2003. His time in the Marine Corps allowed him to better understand that when things go wrong, the solution is never individual; instead, always communal. Dr. Groves is the founder and CEO of JJFitzgerald Business Consultants, LLC, and is in charge of the day-to-day operations and management of the company. In 2012, he was able to combine his more than thirty years of military leadership experience and federal government service skills by launching his own consulting firm. Using his meticulous attention to detail, unwavering effort, and unwavering desire and leveraging his military experience, Dr. Groves also established several platforms and systems, including a SaaS-based privacy compliance and enterprise data solution. He was inspired to write Must Come Assembled after speaking with many people who were looking for that special someone to call their Mr. (Adam) or Ms. (Eve).
