The book explores the awareness of learners regarding IT enabled learning methods and the effectiveness of multimedia based training towards cognitive development of learners. This is based on a survey done on engineering and science students of undergraduate and postgraduate colleges. Computer Based Training (CBTs) materials were distributed to learners and feedbacks were taken from them to judge their awareness regarding e-learning. Questionnaires on different CBTs were given to the learners. The questions were divided according to the six domains of Bloom s taxonomy for cognitive development. The feedbacks received from the learners have been analyzed to estimate their awareness on e-learning and as well the cognitive development observable in the learners.

Autor

The author is a faculty member of St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Kolkata, India. He has graduated in Electrical Engineering and done his postgraduation in Courseware Engineering from Jadavpur University,Kolkata, India. He has worked in organizations like The GEC of India Ltd and DOEACC Centre, Kolkata.
