Human beings have a right to live quality life. Bangladesh with current population of about 160 million and density more than a thousand persons/sq. km, is one of the most densely populated countries of the world. About half of the population with per capita income of less than $ 1.25 per day, live a life barely worth living. This is morally undesirable. The quality of life is inexorably linked to population growth and resources. Rapid increase in population reduces resource availability and often degrades the environment. In order to ensure quality and sustainable life for the present and future generations, social motivations and at some point effective laws may be required. A moral viewpoint has been developed in the book that justifies population control in Bangladesh.
