Drought is a translation of the English word (Drought) but does not necessarily mean that it covers a period of one year. Drought occurs when the amount of rainfall in a given period, such as a month or a season or a year, is less than normal. Therefore, it may be better to use the word dry period instead of the word drought. In any case, because this word is institutionalized in Persian, we use it in the same way. Drought is the result of special interactions between the natural and social environment. Man and society have two active and passive roles in the overall development of a region.
