The features of the source domain are systematically mapped onto the target domain to facilitate understanding.In metaphors such as "his heart is stone," the word stone conveys characteristics like hardness, coldness, and lack of emotion, which are transferred to heart-the symbolic center of feelings and emotions. Through this metaphorical mapping, the listener easily grasps the notion of cruelty or emotional indifference.
