In the 1990s, she started the Milwaukee Walking and Eating Society, a group dedicated to exploring Milwaukee's neighborhoods and ethnic restaurants. Cari has written for many publications and currently reviews restaurants for Urban Milwaukee and Riverwest Currents. She lives in the Brady Street neighborhood.
