Dr. Gillian Black leads a team of scientists and programmers as they delve deeper into virtual reality until something goes horribly wrong. That something is comatose patient, Thomas Hunter, a once gifted psychic and homicidal maniac. A head wound received during a shootout with the police left him in a vegetative state, but Thomas Hunter woke up.
