To develop efficient micropropagation protocols of two banana cultivars i. e. Robusta and G-9 and to examine the effect of newer chemicals and growth substances on micropropagation of banana. II. Assess the genetic diversity amongst various banana cultivars using molecular markers. III. To test the genetic fidelity of tissue culture raised plants.
