In view of the major problem that waste causes to the environment, the aim of this research was to find out how to use the waste generated to assess the quality of Bowdichia virgilioides (Paricarana) seeds in the laboratory. The research was carried out at the headquarters of Embrapa Roraima, both inside and outside the company, in 2008. The methodology adopted was exploratory and descriptive, with a mixed (qualitative) and (quantitative) approach. The procedures were divided into three phases. Samples of Bowdichia virgilioides seeds from the collection of 10 trees in the month of December 2006 to January 2007 were selected at the Embrapa Roraima seed laboratory, 5 from each source, the Taiano and Bonfim regions. Two thousand seeds were used.
