This book is the result of master's dissertation by Dr. Jemmyson Romário de Jesus under the supervision of Prof. Sandro Navickiene and collaboration of Prof. Severino Alves Junior (Federal University of Pernambuco, UFPE, Brazil) and Dr. Kaline Amaral Wanderley. The book is organized into six chapters that focus on the economic and social importance of Cocos nucifera L.; the main pests affecting coconut cultivation; the use of pesticide as primary defense strategy.
