Antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti- influenza, anti-HBeAg and anti-HBsAg properties as well as in vivo toxicity potentials of this plant were also reported.

Dr. Abiodun Humphrey Adebayo holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry and has been involved in the sustainable use of indigenous medicinal plants. His research focus is on phytochemical, biochemical and toxicity studies of these medicinal plants.He has published in refereed journals and currently a faculty in Covenant University,Ota,Nigeria.
