Jacob R. Colon is a writer, filmmaker, music producer, performer, and comicbook creator raised in the suburbs of Linden, New Jersey. His writing careerbegan in the third grade, at the tender age of eight. He would write short sto-ries and post them on the bulletin board of his classroom, where students linedup to read them.After a premature existential crisis in the fifth grade, most of those stories werelost, and he moved on to heavier themes-and a tougher task: writing a novel.His first book, Manhattan 24, was written over two years, from ages twelve tofourteen, and was followed the next year by its forthcoming sequel, Manhattan48.Flash forward a decade: after having written a plethora of unpublished screen-plays, comic books, and a few other novels-as well as attending two years offilm school with the support of his parents-Colon returns to revise his earliestworks.
