The purpose of this book is to examine the operational processes and associated institutional ,financial,and socio-cultural constraints. The result of the study disclose that inefficient organizational structure, shortage and frequent turn over of workers, inequitable distribution and inappropriate placement of facilities, lack of financial & legal instruments, poor handling of waste by the community are the major factors affecting the management. This book also provides recommendations on efficient and effective management of solid waste.
