Sammie Gates is a first-time author. Although she received a BA and MA in psychology, she has always dreamed of writing her very own children's picture book. After yearly visits to the Lumberjack Championship with her family in Hayward, Wisconsin, and seeing how much her son loved all things lumberjack, a story was born! She currently resides in Wisconsin with her husband and aspiring lumberjack son.
