All three boys later served as U.S. Air Force officers. Larry specialized in laboratory medicine and computers in the Biomedical Sciences Corps. He and his family later survived Hurricane Katrina. Ronnie was a KC-135 jet tanker pilot who flew combat missions in Southeast Asia and was later a wildlife biologist who roped rattlesnakes and radio-collared mountain lions. Mike was a "Hurricane Hunter" and supersonic T-38 instructor pilot who was flying as an airline captain on the morning of 9/11. The George boys have been looking for trouble all of their lives.
