When some of his dreams became intriguing, Nelson began to wonder why we dream. What makes us dream, and how do we dream? During Nelson's search for answers, he interviewed friends, read books and articles on the dreaming brain, and watched television programs pertaining to the functions of the brain. In all his research, he never found any satisfactory answers to the question of why we have these wonderful, unique, strange, and bizarre dreams. Then, after recording hundreds of dreams, he started to see particular patterns emerging, which lead him to formulate several theories. When Mother Nature was worked into the equation, everything fell into place. After having recorded more than 4,000 dreams and conducted many years of research, Nelson is confident that he has enough detailed information to back up his theories on why we dream.
