In this monograph,we have shared various novel localization approaches to overcome the detrimental effect of Non line of Sight (NLOS) multipath on the location accuracy in the multipath environment by leveraging on just one reference device (RD) to perform localization on the Mobile device (MD). Firstly, two novel line of sight (LOS) localization algorithms that leverage on the bidirectional joint estimation of Time of Arrival (TOA) and angle of arrival (AOA) at both RD and MD. Only just one RD is sufficient to be in LOS with the MD to peform localization of the MD.The joint Least Square (LS) implementation coupled with AOA adjustment to the LOS path and NLOS path rejection techniques are devised. Secondly, we extend the novelty by devising a holistic NLOS localization approach to localize the MD using bidirectional estimation of the multipath TOA and AOA. The two signal paths used to perform localization can be LOS or one bound scattering NLOS paths. Lastly but not least, we have also provide a total breakthrough by devising two NLOS localization schemes that leverage only on the estimation of TOA and AOA at the RD only.
