This is curious as some of Canada's leading writers, including Margaret Atwood, Alice Munro, and Jane Urquhart, have acknowledged their indebtedness to Montgomery's fiction. That scholars have not mined the 'Canadianness' of Montgomery's writing is redressed by this collection.
