Everyone has a life story. Not everyone has the opportunity to explore their life story, work with it, learn from it, heal from it, and express it to others. Life Story Baskets (LSBs) guides facilitators to lead participants to do all of this while offering support and guidance. LSBs are life stories told using handmade miniatures, set on a miniature stage, and told by the participants themselves to the rest of the group. Some participants may tell their whole story, while others may choose to focus on traumatic or difficult parts of their stories to examine and find new ways of seeing and thinking about them. Autor

Myria Rei Sólas RP, CPT, RCAT, MC:AT, is a registered psychotherapist, certified play therapist, and a registered Canadian art therapist in Peterborough, Ontario. She maintains a private practice seeing individuals of all ages, as well couples and families. As part of her practice, she runs mindfulness-based art therapy groups, and arts-based retreats for women. As a practicing artist, Myria uses a multitude of media and techniques including mixed media, weaving, felting, and jewellery making. Myria lives by the belief that art and creativity help keep us whole and offer new ways of thinking and seeing things, being well, and thriving. Myria works hard to support and promote exploration, expression, and well-being through the use of the arts, and art as therapy. Myria believes in the power of creating safe, sacred spaces in which to create hope, resiliency, and wellness to help people throughout their life journeys.
