Several people have their reasons for these absurd acts but popular reasons are poverty, illiteracy, Ignorance and unemployment. No violence against a child is justifiable. It is recommended that Chapter II of the 1999 Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) should be made enforceable. The chapter has some basic provisions that could aid the adequate protection of a child right in Nigeria. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that the Federal and State Government ensure its full implementation.
