John Bibb Hickman, B.S., M.S., M.A. After retiring from a long career as chemical engineer, technical writer, and CEO of a manufacturing firm, Mr. Hickman returned to college to earn a master's degree in Creative Writing. During his working career, he published technical papers, received more than two dozen patents, and was the lead author of several ANSI standards adopted by the International Building Code. He has written several short stories, a novel about the social impact of mass incarceration (as yet unpublished), and poetry drawn from the joys and sorrows of the eight decades of his life. Mr. Hickman resides in the mountains of North Carolina.
