Some experts' definition of language is that it is a learned behavior that involves a response to stimulus. In some instances, language can be termed as a verbal behavior that defines body movements and gestures that may or may not be aligned to spoken words. In defining language, we must also think about symbols, gestures, and motion as a common thing. The reason behind this is to ensure that the deaf community is considered. Languages all over the world have some common characteristics which define their organizational structures and order.When a child learns how to speak, read, and write, it is quite noticeable that there is an inherent connection in these skills. Some sections of this book can be used as instructional strategies to promote the integrated development of these three skills.
