In the fourth and final edition of his definitive and much praised monograph on the artist, Marco Livingstone has updated his text to include a survey of Kitaj's work from 1999 to 2007. 30 illustrations of recent works and 20 additional illustrations of earlier works have been added. Virtually all of the illustrations that were in black-and-white in earlier editions are now reproduced in full colour. 30 new 'prefaces' written by Kitaj himself have been added, some of them never before published.
