Autorenporträt
Patricia Harkins-Pierre lives on St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, a Territory of the United States, near Puerto Rico, a thousand miles from Florida. She has always loved animals and has been fascinated by Caribbean culture since she was a teenager growing up in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating with a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi, she moved to the U.S.V.I. to teach at the University of the Virgin Islands.
