Award-winning author, Joyce B. Lohse, grew up in Illinois where she sometimes spent her school recess time writing stories and poems. She is the author of a dual biography of Colorado's first governor and his wife entitled, First Governor, First Lady: John and Eliza Routt of Colorado.
