Watching my daughters self-harm and dealing with their suicidal thoughts was soul-destroying, I was in unprecedented territory, as a mother I never expected this to happen to my family. When the trauma is buried deep in their subconscious; behavior can present itself in an irrational manner. I tried hard to understand and support my adult daughters, unfortunately it was beyond my control. Let our children know it is safe to disclose the truth and allow their feelings and emotions to be heard. Let's make aware of the lifelong damage child abuse can cause.
