Amanda's difficulty journey through life begins as a child-unwanted and unloved; raised in a traditional, religious and chaotic home, Amanda desires a happy, stable and fulfilling life. She is betrothed at the age of twenty by her parents. Thinking she has found happiness in her marriage, joy turns into misery; and her husband, Morgan, betrays her. Life continues downhill through a series of unfortunate events, even through much prayer and seeking the Lord. Amanda eventually resigns to a life of misery.
