The Journal of Character Education has for over a decade been the sole scholarly journal focused on research, theory, measurement, and practice of character education. This special issue includes three articles and three commentaries derived from the 2016 Workshop on Approaches to the Development of Character hosted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
