He is the brother of actresses Fátima and Andrea Torre. He is known by the nickname "Chema". Torre started his acting career at an early age doing commercials, at the age of 12 he obtained a small role in the telenovela Yo compro esa mujer on Televisa, playing the role of Alejandro (Eduardo Yáñez) as a child. Later that year he also participated in Amor de nadie, a story starred by Lucía Méndez. Three years later he played the role of Lucero's brother in Los parientes pobres. In 1994 he obtained a role in the telenovela Agujetas de color de rosa, starring Angélica María.
