Apart from that, she played in the semi-finals of the WTA tournaments of 1996 in Palermo and 2001 in Estoril. She reached her highest placing in the world ranking on 11 June 2001 - after a victory against Amélie Mauresmo in the first round of the French Open, through which she reached the second round
