This concept has inspired this research paper which aims at the extension of the concept of developmental state into a regional framework. In the goal of attempting the socio-economic challenges facing SADC; the extension of the developmental state paradigm will be intended for the Political Economy context ahead of the SADC mandate which is the central task of this research paper.
